As I understand it the only new replacement rear heated screens have very visible heater elements. The original one in my car has amazing invisible elements, a bit like the heated front screens in a ford for example. I would really like another one of them if possible...but I think they only appeared on the very late cars. If anyone has one I would love to hear from you, thanks.
Dave

Legend/rumour/scuttlebutt has it that the heated rear window for the Amazon appeared as a Volvo part after (just) the last ones hit the showroom. The 140 got them about then so Volvo kept the Amazon owners happy by making them a spare part.
As Wikipedia would say "confirmation needed". |

About how invisible is your current one, do you have a picture? About how damaged is yours?
I did some searching and here is what I found: http://www.ehow.com/how_7869460_repa...indscreen.html http://www.lotuselan.net/forums/elan...ce-t15311.html

Thanks for that. The elements in mine are invisible and finer than a hair..if you catch the light right you can see them, but otherwise they are invisible. I damaged it with grinding sparks- have melted them into the glass over quite an area. I am having no luck finding another, first time that's happened to anything on my car.
