Default 440 1.8Si oil leak

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and have just bought my wife a 15 yr old 440 1.8Si with 93K on the clock. The car drives really well- very solid- but I'm a little concerned about some oil leaking from the rear of the rocker cover. We haven't driven it far but the engine gets quite hot quite quickly too, although the temp gauge doesn't move much. Is this something I should be worried about or it it to be expected in a car of this age?

Grateful thanks for any replies,
NC

Hi,
The oil leak from the valve cover can be fixed by changing the valve cover seal. The 400 series engines do warm up pretty quickly, as long as the fan turns on at the correct temperature then everything is fine.
