TRACS/ABS: - Tracs Question

Hi All....
Have not had my T5 long, but have noticed that on start up the tracs light comes on, then goes off... Same with the tracs button, the light comes on and off as expected...

When I drive the car though the wheels do still spin a lot when accelarating hard, especially with all this wet weather...

So my question is... Should it be doing this, or should the tracs be kicking in and trying to stop the wheels spinning as it does on most other cars I have had? If this is the case, then what do you guys think is the cause of the problem??

AFAIK the TRACS system only works upto 25mph... I have to say that my 850R can be booted with TRACS on and I don't get any wheelspin - but mine is feeling a bit underpowered at the moment, so that could be a red herring...

Well after some testing tonight!! lol... It would seem that my Tracs does not work at all!!! Any ideas what the problem could be???

TRACS on the 850's, certainly does very little under normal driving conditions...You may feel it whilst pulling away in snow or ice...It is not the same as a LSD in design or efficiency.....
