will they fit???

hi i'm new to vco. i have a 240gl estate and woz wondering will the 700 serise 7seater conversions fit into my 240?
also my engine is a 4cyl but the logbook says its a 2.3? i woz under the impression that the 2.3's were 6 cylinders is this correct of do i have a 2ltr??:o

In a nutshell no the seven seat conversion kit from the 7-series will not fit the 2-series.

The 2.3 engine is a four cylinder. The 2.0 engine is a four cylinder. Is yours carb or injection? On the front of the timing belt cover at the top there should be a small white lable. This should have the designation of the engine such as B23 or B230 with some letters after that (for the 2.3 that is) or B200 etc for the 2.0. The other place to look for the engine type is on the identification plate bur I do not have the decoding key to hand for this (the VIN). Hope this helps but I am sure thatv there will be additions from others.

thanxs for that migrator, its a carb and its a 1987 model too if that helps at all? i'll have a look in the morn for the engine code
