help please i have a v70 t5 geartronic 2002 160k ive just gone out to the car
unlocked as normal and it wont fire flashing up with imobilizer see manual ive tried everything unlocking getting out of the car can anyone help as ive had enough of this car im so close to getting my money back for it

first thing try the other key if you have one , to detemine if it is the key or the car . Are you parked near a radio transmitter? pushing the car a few yards may help if so .
Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes ..

hi ive pushed it about 6 feet or so ive tried disconecting the battery ive tried jumpleads on the car to see if it was the batteruy and ive tried both keys still no joy and no one will come out and see me im reall ppp off now.....

I have had a similar problem with an S60, the AA came out to mine and used the procedure below;

- Ignition off 5 mins
- Lock Vehicle
- Disconnect Battery 5 mins
- Unlock door with key
- Reconnect battery
- Try start car

If your fob batteries are not flat it's most likely your immobiliser receiver coil around the steering barrel.

ive found the problem out some kind person has stole £30.00 pound worth of fuel from my tank forced the petrol flap open and away they went thanks guys for your help sorry to mess you around with this one. ive got a feeling trying to move my car onto level ground turning the car with engine off might have done some damage when im turning right there like waht can i say grinding noise but not turning left o welll something more to sort out ive lost confidence in this car change my mind please ,,,,,,,

If the grinding sound is at full lock then it's probably the wheels rubbing in the arch, some makes of tyre are worse than others for this... if you've only just bought the car, get the seller to change the limiters on the lower wishbones as they may have worn.
A dodge if you want to do it yourself (and I haven't 'cos mine are a 'roller' type) is to swap the limiters over on each side so they wear in different places.
