What model was your first Volvo?
My first Volvo was 1989 Volvo 340 1.7GL, 5 door, petrol blue metallic
 Lovely car and a good introduction to Volvos as far as I was concerned. A great reliable work horse that did its Duty.What model was your first Volvo?

mine was an F reg dark met green 360GLT loved it! was in good order and i payed little over £100 for it.

Hi, my first Volvo was a 90 G reg 740 GLE estate 2.3i and my second - see below
 I like them old (easier to fix) and RWD = more fun  Ali

1989 340 GLE 1.7 here too - also in Metallic Blue.
Bought for £1700 sold after about 3 years for about £1000, not bad really! Didn't go back to Volvo until 2005.

1981 345GL (1.4 4spd)
Bought for £450, backed into by a van 2 years later (insurance total loss - recieved a cheque for £450 and kept the car), repaired myself, sold a year after for £250!!

Mine was bought about 3.5 years ago and was a S70 T5 manual, have since had another S70 T5 and now a V70R AWD,

A 91' 240 Tors. Bought in 96 for £6400 (Gulp!) Part-ex it (for an 850) in 2000 & got £2400.
And yes, of course the Tors is still going.

1986 340 GLE 1.7 metalic grey.
After a gap of a few years now just got a V50 2.0D. My late father ran a 244DL for ten years back in the mid seventies, and then bought the 340 which I ran for 2-3 years. Its good to be back. |
