Default 2017 S60 No Sound From Speakers

New owner here. Hopefully I'll get a more in-depth answer here than what I can find online. I bought myself an 2017 S60 D4 the other day, and the sound system has decided it doesn't like me.

The infotainment screen and navigation work, and all of the system settings seem to be in order.
When I tune the radio, there is no sound from the speakers. I've tried connecting my phone, tried DAB and FM radio stations, and still no sound. The display shows no issues so as far as the car is concerned, the radio is on.

I've contacted the dealer, who was apologetic as he was not aware of any issue. He told me if any work is to be paid for, then to send him the invoice rather than have me out of pocket for something that is not my fault.

Having checked online, I understand this is a common fault with the infotainment system and usually just needs a reboot. I've followed instructions from several sources to no avail:

I've held the power button for a minute at a time (both on and off just in case).
I've disconnected the battery for several hours to force a reset.
I've disconnected the amplifier for a while.
None of these solutions have worked.

I've ordered an amp from a breaker on eBay which hopefully means I will be able to fix the problem myself, but any other advice or possible solutions to try would definitely be welcome.

This is not meant to insult, have you checked it's not on mute ?

A quick press on the power button will mute the sound system, a longer press switches it off.

I definitely didn't take that as an insult, but unfortunately I have checked and it's not muted.
