Cars like these can have a future outside the range of Big Brothers cameras.
Please offer viable cars here before scrapping them. |

I would have had a go at running false plates from a more modern exempt Volvo. London is essentially a lawless ****hole, so likely you would get away with it for quite a while.
This guy is not giving up! ✊

Why would you scrap it? Was it already toast?
Most of the UK population lives outside of London for a reason. Share with your mates and neighbours that you can just advertise it outside of LDN and folk will likely buy it no bother. Personally end up travelling all over the country helping mates buy older cars. Euro 7 is coming soon, so all the folk that have crapped out thousands and chucked their Euro 5 and older cars to get a Euro 6 will be in exactly the same position again. Most of the LE zones are not about the environment, something I care a lot about, they are about increasing revenue streams to local councils and governments. My own main workhorse is a euro 2 diesel, 27.5 years old and banned from everywhere. But when it is 30 years old, its granted grace due to its age = worth more and honestly more reliable than any newer diesel i've ever tried to operate. |

Absolutely spot on Bricks - you sum up the truth and highlight the farcical nature of it all, with panache
Having worked out the first year of ULEZ cost me a shade over 800 quid I moved both my 70’s to my girlfriends in the Cotswolds - there they just steal ya Cat instead Have been using my lads Nissan Note or Japanese tin can ULEZ buster as I call her. I live in Newham and the oh so friendly understanding council have increased the price of parking outside my own home, in the midst of a cost of living crisis - by a mere 33% Much like David Cameron returning to Government ( specialist subject international politics ) one big very unfunny joke ! |
