Steering angle different and ABS warning
Hi everyone
My 2009 Volvo V50 1.8 petrol on a 5 speed manual has a few issues. Yesterday I changed the front left lower suspension control arm and the right driveshaft. Work all finished, I took it for test drive. Within a few miles the ABS service warning and anti skid service light appeared on the dash board. I also noticed the steering wheel was no longer centred. I had to keep it a part turn (about 5mins) to one side to keep the car straight. It wasn't like that before the parts were changed. Does the ECU need to be reset to identify a new driveshaft? Is the steering wheel angle change simply down to new parts and needs a wheel alignment, or am I missing something? Many thanks Stuart |

You have 2 major mechanical problems there I would not drive the car anywhere .
I would guess the reason is non volvo parts or incorrect parts as you cant really fit them incorrectly can you …?
