Default Rear window tinting

Anyone has their S90 tinted (not factory fitted) and how much am I looking at to do it? Will it bubble up easily?

Location SE London.

Thanks

I've had it done in the past, you pay for what you get. If in doubt I would ask the main dealer to recommend someone.

My Volvo dealer was trying to sell me a new MK 1 XC90 several years ago but non they had in stock had tinted rear windows so I was not interested, they offered to put it on free of charge but I only wanted factory fitted not film, it would be worth asking your dealer for a price with a big discount for buying the car from them.

I have had factory tinted windows on all 4 of my XC90's and it is great from a aesthetical and security/privicy point of view, but does not help in keeping the car cool.

I have film tinted windows in my Landrover and it looks great and has not bubbled but I find that it reflects lights badly in the rear window at night from any car you are following like a mirror, you notice it a lot in rear view mirror. This has not happened in my Volvo's.

Thanks... I didn't know it comes with that. I think it's around £170 for S90 but there's a £40 discount now... hmmmmmm.....

I believe that using those sunshades you can have the windows open and still have the benefit of the sunshades, you can also use them in your next volvo if the same model. Probably a better option for you than tinted film and cheaper.

I hadn't noticed that there is no shade available for the rear window.
That's definitely a major disadvantage on this big and slanting piece of glass!

I had it done on my old Mini Countryman by Pentagon in Barnet. I was happy with their work - no bubbling and they had a range of tints to choose from.
I can't remember how much it was, but I'm a tight Yorkshireman, so it can't have been that much.
