Will,
I swapped a 164 from auto to manual years ago. It's not a scary job, provided you have all the parts. Gearbox Crossmember (or welding to modify original) Propshaft (or modify original) Clutch Pedal box Clutch cable On the car I swapped, all the relevant captive threads were already in the shell, I'd be confident that the same would apply to yours. Probably, the auto 144 has a different rear axle ratio. You don't have to change the axle, but if you don't the speedo would under read John |
