Default V70 cabin filter

Can anybody point in in the direction of the cabin pollen filter in my 2008 V70?

Haynes says its behind the lower tunnel panel on the passenger's side, but I've removed this and can't see anything resembling the Haynes picture.

I didn't remove the whole centre console to get the side panel off, as Haynes suggested. Does this need to be off to reveal the filter housing?

Under the panel, up against the bulkhead behind the glove box, it has a cover about 12" long but 2" wide, held on with 4 T25 torx screws.

Thanks. That's where my 06 model filter was.

This is an 08. Are you referring to the pre 07 version?

Mann Filters has this guide on their website. It starts with Freelander, but scroll down to find V70 2007 onwards:

http://catalog.mann-filter.com/media...g/HB9K5Uod.pdf

I found it through their online catalogue. I'm guessing they do guides for other cars too.

HTH.

Great stuff, thanks for that.

It shows a LHD model, but my passenger's console lower side panel reveals nothing like that.

More poking around needed!

On the RHD models it is on the passenger side. It is right up tight against the bulk head and there are various wires in the way. It's a real pain in the buttocks to get to.
