Default EBC Brake Pads? what do you think?

I am thinking about upgrading the pads on my S60 2.4T by fitting EBC's Red stuff ceramics. Has anyone done this already and if so whats your opinion?
Or can anyone recommend any other 'superior' pads

i'm using greenstuff pads myself & defo go for them again next time (but won't touch the discs with a barge pole from now on)

i've heard redstuff pads really take some heating up before they start working

i brought EBC oe spec discs at first & they just warped in no time, then replaced them under warranty for there turbo groove discs (dimpled & grooved) & now there covered in hairline cracks. Probably had them on about a year but i don't brake heavily so quite disappointed in them

It seems to be a love or hate thing with the Greenstuff pads.

Yep, love hate indeed. I hate them.

They squeak, they wear out very quickly, they take ages to heat up so the first few brake applications are somewhat hairy, they leave copious amounts of dust to eat into your nice shiny alloys, the list goes on....

In my opinion they rank alongside Pirelli Tyres as the worst things to fit to my car.

I had a set of Greenstuff pads on my old 200sx. They used to overheat easily and eventually warped my discs.
I haven't used Redstuff but they have to be hot to work properly so I am told?
I would personally recommend Mintex pads. I've used various compounds on various cars and have never been disappointed.

I used to have greenstuffs on the 940, but they warped my disk's and i generaly didnt like them, replaced them (before they were even half warn) with black diamond preditors, and im happyer with them (for now)

The best comments I have read are for Ferodo DS2500 pads followed my Mintex Ctech (1144?).
