Default low boost

hi all my s60 t5 is only boosting at 0.4 bar wont go any higher any ideas anyone could the electronic boost controler cause this

Could be a boost leak - check all plumbing from the turbo outlet to intercooler to ETM.

Could also be your TCV hoses or TCV so you shoudl check the plumbing in that area too.

And 0.4 bar isn't much above 'base boost' so the TCV could actually have failed and gone into bypass mode.

First thing probably to check/ tighten all of the jubilee clips on the hoses and visually inspect.

There's a short hose from the turbo outlet behind the engine which connects to the plastic hose running over the top of the engine, which the goes to the intercooler etc. You can trace it all the way around to the intake manifold.

The TCV is clipped onto the side of your airbox, these smaller diameter hoses can be traced an checked for connectivity.
