Default Where's my fuel pump?

Lord knows I don't want to ask this question.

On my late model 940 I was expecting the fuel pump and filter to be together or at least visible. The tank is dropped and still I cannot see the pump, I can trace the fuel line from front to back. The filter I found under the front seat level as pictured below. Have the fumes got to me? Help me out.

This is the sender.

Late model 940s have a single in-tank pump. It's in your lower pic, connected to the black hose.

Seriously? That little in-tank Bosch pump is providing 100%? Isn't it basically the same as the earlier Regina pumps, not capable of flowing enough by itself? I included the picture of the sender to pre-empt the 'it's in the tank' answer. How technology moves on eh?
Cheers.

Its perfectly possible for a single pump to provide all the necessary flow.

The main problem dual pumps are overcomming is the sucking issue to raise fuel via the top of the tank which requires a long pipe. I guess with plastic tanks bottom outlets are not safe.

More the question is, why did they bother with an external pump, I suspect the pre-pump was a patch and quickly done away with.
