Default Seat covers - any ideas?

Afternoon all.

I wouldnt mind fitting seat tailored seat covers but most of the generic ones available arent big enough or of high enough quality. Anyone fitting ones that they are happy with?

regards

I haven't come across any tailored seat cover that works. Does anyone know better? If worn I usually try to get a good secondhand seat.

I have just got two very nice secondhand front seats for my 1986, 240 they came from a 1990 estate. not fitted them yet, have given the passenger one a clean with upholstery shampoo and a vacuum and it looks like new. tested the heater continuity on both seats, all seems to be ok. all springs etc in good condition. hope to fit them soon. Will look better than covers. regards.- Alan.

The only tailored seat covers I know of (apart from super expensive Volvo R-sport,), are those offered by www.ipdusa.com. Pricey but good-looking on the pictures:

If the original covers are just dirty though, a wash will do wonders: I have machine washed mine with great results. (Details on removal on my web site.) This is also a good opportunity to fix torn foam and broken heaters.

Erling.
