V/S40 performance parts
Hi, does anybody know if or where I could lay my hands on any performance bits for a V/S40, mainly suspension parts. Does anybody do a rosejointed gear linkage or quickshift ? Does anybody do one off bits ? What about the touring cars can any parts be sourced from there ? I'm after modifying my car and I'm struggling for parts and help. Does anybody do a rosejointed bottom arm ?

RE: V/S40 performance parts
HI andy ,
i believe i could help you , but since i know you are a machinist , make a jig of your own arm (wishbone ), buy some 12g tube and threaded inserts , 3 rose joints which are upto the load in question and weld them all together obviously better than the way i explained it . YOu will find the suspension , non compliant and harsh but will be better in feel and control. Touring car will not necessarily fit as they use different hubs and the mounting points were allowed to be different by 25mm so that could **** things up . When lowering you have to be careful to maintain roll center height and scrub radius etc Regards Dave

RE: V/S40 performance parts
Dave,
Thanks for the info. Like I said in the e-mail, things are a bit busy at work at the mo. How much could you make me them for ? I'm interested. Maybe if we quiet off a bit at work I may get time to have a look but I'm in the process of building myself a garage so I'm struggling to work. By the way was it a production run of adjusters you were after or just a few to try, if you send me a sketch I'll see what I can Do. Thanks Andy :-) |
