I very much doubt they are compatible as they control boost in very different ways and obviously the 115bhp one produces more boost. I believe there may be differences in intercoolers etc on the engine and also the ECU maps would be different as well. http://www.btnturbo.com/parts/model/volvo/v40.aspx

Another supplier to take a look at is NKK Turbo's in Newark, I don't have any personal experience of them but they are fairly local to me and I have heard good things about them anecdotally.

I got a CHRA cartridge from them, way cheaper than a recon turbo. Got about 8k miles on they're cartridge so far, like they said on the Web page they are using custom made oil seals to reduce the oil usage(seeping around the shaft/seals into a intercooler/engine) Seems that it actually works as I don't need to top up the oil between the oil changes.(car has done 207k miles) The only thing I don't like is they're non existent email reading capabilities.... I sent them 2 emails about 8 months ago... still no reply... at least they are answering phone calls... Cartridge was sorted after all.

Hi! I am a newcomer here. I can't see any pictures in it. Do I do something wrong? I have S40 2002 2.0 SE with probably the same problem

Welcome to the forum. No, you are not doing anything wrong. The photos were most probably hosted by Photobucket, they changed the rules a while ago and now the images cannot be accessed. Makes the old threads pretty much useless.
