Hi

Just a brief description, posting on behalf of a friend and pics to follow on saturday.

1997 Volvo 960 Estate, 2.5 24V straight 6
Manual gearbox
116K miles with comprehensive documentation and full history + new MOT.
Car is green and I believe the car had supaguard paint treatment when new.
1 owner from new
Full cream leather interior, unmarked. Original toolkit still present. No evidence of smoker owner or pets transported.
No towbar so car hasn't spent 10+ years hauling a caravan.
4 new tyres, Marangonis I think, on original Volvo wheels.

I had a brief drive this evening and the car is drum tight, ie drives better than my Toyota which has half the mileage.

Bad bits:

As expected the paintwork has a few very minor marks here and there. I did not notice any lacquer delamination which seems to be a Volvo trait.
Very small amount of surface rust on lower wing edges, just behind the mud flaps, ie. you need to be really looking for it to see it.

Very minor stuff for a 13 year old car. The bonnet is excellent with little or no stone chips, all appears to be original paint. This car has been loved and cherished

Car has no tax but is coming with a new N.Ireland MOT.

Will be advertised locally within the next 10 days or so. Seller looking for around £1400. It seems to be a very fine car and worth every penny - many years of reliable family use ahead of it.

With the exception of pictures to follow would anyone be initially interested?

Is this car from up around my part of the country? I had a fella ring me on Monday about one of these he was looking to sell, was kind of upset I couldn't buy it myself.

Can't you tell that it's out of style?
Should I get a set of white wall tires?
Are you gonna cruise the miracle mile?
