  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Question 940 Wheels

has anyone fitted winter tyres to there volvo? n e gud thinking of getting sum.
has n e one got any cheap wheels for sale i could put some on. (if there worth getting that is.) cheers

You'll get more replies if you type in full english on here. I found some decent barely used winter tires part worn at the scrapyard. It's worth trying your local to see if they've got anything, and for £15 each you can't really complain.

I agree,

keep text speak for the mobile.

I have Pneumant winter tyres on my '86 740, they've transformed the handling in cold and snowy conditions by a large margin and weren't expensive either.

They go on in December and come off at Easter.

With a pair of snow chains on the rear wheels I can pretty much go anywhere a 4x4 can go unless the snow is too deep of course!
