Fitting 144 doors on a 145!
Hi! This might be a stupid question! I got a 1973 volvo 145 with quit rusty doors & front side panels.
Recently i picked up some really nice (rust free doors & front side panels) from a 1974 144. I got one of the back doors on but with a terrible fit. So now i'm wondering if the 144 doors are suppose to fit a 145? I was told they would but cant remember by who. The door i fitted is nicely leveled at the bottom but it seams to be a bit to high. Not sure if i should get my old ones welded or try again? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks Konrad |

The doors are identical - I would suggest you try again the hinges will adjust in different directions, both on the door and on the pillar.

If your 'new' doors are model year 1973 (or earlier) you can undo the alu window frame (4 bolts and some screws inside the doorframe) and try lowering it a bit.
