Lambada an' all that
General Query but seems JodT5 may know, having just read the post about how to make a Code Reader.
My light is on, and the code indicates (according to Haynes) : idle mixture too weak - or - depending on the actual unit installed, too rich. I'm erring on the side of weak as it hunts at idle, but still gives umph when asked. Besides I've had Rich and it cost a new Control unit. is there any way I can adjust the mixture with "a bent pin and chewing gum" or must I seek the assistance of the Dealer Service network. Thanks for any replies, l now live near Exeter (10miles) if there are any "must go to these people for service" places around. I want to keep this car! many thks Tarkus |

No, you will need a Volvo specific code reader.
However the Auto gearbox is OBDII compliant and you may read a fault code from it if the problem would result in an emissions increase. |

bum, so I guess the TCU in 95 cars is different to the 96 cars then, interesting.
