Smile 2015 V60 Headlights

Hey Everyone!

Was spending a fortune on fuel with a mk2 Focus ST and needed to change.
Purchased my first volvo (2015 V60 D4 R-design) a month ago and loving it so far.
I've been trying to look into Xenon's/HIDs to replace the halogens that come with it and noticed that the Lux trim level comes as standard with them, is it a direct swap if I purchase a complete headlight assembly or is more work required?

I don't think it's a straight swap. The xenon's also have a sensor on the axle for self levelling the headlights.

Mind you, I had the xenon's and they were rubbish so don't get your hopes up too high. I think it must be a poor design of the headlamps.

That's unfortunate, I'm a bit iffy going down the HID kits method as I've been blinded plenty, don't want to be doing that to people lol.
Thanks for the info Chris

Whilst it's technically possible - unless you're a Nasa scientist it's not feasible. As said above the ABL lights have additional axle level sensors and a headlamp control module, also the method of switching the headlights is pre-programming into the CEM at manufacture and cannot easily be changed, meaning some HID kits will flicker, pulse or not work at all.

Hence I would be prepared to experiment or look at upgraded bulbs like Osram Nightbreaker or PIAA HyperArros.
