Default Timing related question

I've been considering buying a timing light in a effort to solve the still undiagnosed crappy idle and the vibration at 1500rpm.
I've seen a guy use one of those on a 240, which obviously has the front/side mounted distributor.

How would one go about adjusting/rotating the distributor on a b230fk? Does it rotate at all? I've never messed with the distributor beyond cleaning the cap and rotor.

btw, also, does anyone have a used MAF in known working condition that they want to sell? Last time i've tested the maf the values weren«t right, so that might be it. But I don't wanna pay 200€ just to check that.

Happy new year everyone.

It wouldn't show if the car was out of timing, lets say... if belt jumped a tooth or was improperly installed?
