Default XC60 T8 2020 discharging issue

Please could anyone who has a Volvo XC60 T8 message me to confirm if they see the same issue when driving in PURE mode. On full charge, range shows 23 miles. After driving for about 5 miles, the range number drops to 18 yet the battery indicator still shows full. I'm trying to understand if it's just my car or every owner sees same thing

Mine is the same and it’s a MY22. Volvo haven’t figured out how to actively read battery levels 🤣

Thanks Griffin! Makes me feel better that not just my car although super annoying. Do you also find that if you recharge battery from say half, you never get the 23 mile range back. Only way is by depleting battery completely first.

I have never noticed it but i have it on a S60 T8, the battery never goes to zero but the ranges does, to allow it to always stop/start at idle or in traffic regardless of whether the battery has range or not.

Running in pure mode reduces this and pulls the most out of the battery until the very last minute, but it still reserves a bit for normal energy savings.

Is there a reason you use Pure mode over hybrid except for the 1cm of extra power in the red needle?

Pure mode gives you minimum an extra 3 miles of range. At least it does on my car…

I haven’t found that but then again I’ve not really charged from half way. I have the new Google system which is proving a bit of a guessing game in terms of range…

Thanks again Griffin. Maybe try it halfway and see. I've got Volvo to finally acknowledge this fault in the software but no idea when they get round to fixing it. Every T8 owner should complain and that might finally see a proper software debug.
