Default Battery charging 2016 V70 Help!

I have a 2016 V70 which does give me a low batt warning but I did have it checked by the dealer a year or so back. Also now of course not being used during lockdown. I purchased a battery charger from my local battery manufacturer made by Durite. (they closed now due virus)
I know the vehicle has an AGM type battery (whatever that means) and a second battery for the stop start.
The charger instructions are not that clear so not sure of the correct settings.
After two 8 hour charging days it still only shows 60% charged as it did when I started.
I wonder if anyone knows the correct settings for this charger. Charger is set for AGM as thats shown on the charger screen. Only thing I know I have done wrong is to connect to the the pos and neg terminals as opposed to the chassis/engine for the neg.

You'll also do better to ask this in the appropriate section - S80 '06> / V70 '07> / XC70 '07> General - those new fangled V70's is a bit posh for us.

Having said that -

AGM stands for Absorbent Glass Mat which means the plates in the battery are separated by a glass fibre mat which the acid soaks into like a sponge, makes them spill proof as there's no free circulating acid, it's a type of battery quite common on mobility scooters.

As I understand it you need to connect the neg to the chassis as the system measures the current in the earth lead of the battery to know if it is charging, a bit like 'knowing' how much is in your bank by only adding up the outgoings and incomings rather than just checking the balance, seems daft but by charging direct to the battery you may have fooled the system.
