Yep, thats what i would do. But perhaps to the lower part of the dipstick and then check it in the morning because draining off oil is a pain in the A**E!!.

Here is some level for your info: Engine oil: inc oil filter - 6.0 litres excl oil filter - 5.5 litres Cooling system - 12.5 litres Gearbox oil auto - 7.6 litres Power steering fluid - 0.8 litres Washer reservoir - 4.5 litres |

Cheers Steve - just what I was after!
Car is doing well - done about 12k in it so far and all it has needed was both outer CV boots, which cost me about £19 in parts. Fixed the dodgy bulbs in the dash, the intermittent stereo, the ABS and the heated seat. Loving the car a lot more than I thought I ever would - it's a pleasure. |
