V40 Seatbelt in use display
I have a V40 which is almost a year old. When the car is first started there is a display showing which seatbelts are actually in use. The problem is that every time I slow right down (eg for a junction or traffic queue) this display comes on again. I reported this when the car went for its initial service and was told it should not happen and that it had been fixed. It was not fixed! I suffered it because I did not want to travel 80 miles round trip as the display is more nuisance than anything else. The car has just been in for its first year service and once again I was told that the problem had been sorted out. It has not and I am fed up with it. Has anyone else had this problem? And is there a way that I can switch this display off completely? Thanks for any help.

Not heard of this at all. Seems like a software glitch. Dealer needs to sort it out.

Do you travel with a heavy bag or something on one of the seats? It could be, as you slow down the object moves and the weight of it gives a signal to the system telling it the seat is occupied? I used to have this problem with my work bag in a previous marque of car.
Do you get the warning bong sound in addition to the dash symbol? David
