Unhappy Immobilizer issue

I recently lost one of my keys for my volvo s40. When i finally found the spare key, which is the exact same as the other key, i went to start my car and it turns over maybe 2 times before it winds down and the immobilizer is flashing. I have tried unlocking it and locking it 5 times with remote to reset. no avail. I have also dissconnected the battery and checked every fuse, to also no avail. I dont understand why this key wont start my car???? It starts to turn over and then just winds down to a stop. I have the battery on a charger so i know its not a dead battery. Basically i would just like to know if there is a way to turn off or just rip the damn thing out? ill start my car with a screwdriver if i have to, i really dont care. This issue is going to cost me my job and i dont want to have to pay 350$ for a key reset???? Especially when i have a perfectly good key. Any advice at all would be very helpful. I have a 2001 volvo s40 everything stock.

It sounds like your battery is on the end , it may have been standing a while since you lost the key With an imobiliser problem the engine won't crank over at all . If you have a small charger it can take days to fully charge .

My engine starts to turn over and then it stops, it maybe cranks 2-3 times and then the immobilizer is on. Actually i think the immobilizer is flashing even when i put the key in and turn it to the 2nd position where all the lights come on. all the dash lights come on but that immobilizer is flashing?

low battery voltage can cause all sorts of weird things to the warning lights ...
Try a known good battery first ..

Agree: low voltage does strange things. On my Mazda, when cranking it over with near-flat battery it causes the radiator fans to come on. An immobiliser related problem would prevent the starter motor operating.
