Still available.
Not sure how or why the Car and Classic advert was removed (I think I mistakenly included my email address in it). Trying to get it reinstated now - thanks for point this out. |

Hi Robert,
The new owner is indeed a Volvo nut! You will be seeing the car on here regularly and it will be used daily. This morning I have removed the front screen to fix the leaks and was pleasantly surprised at how good the screen aperture is. Silicone sealant had been used before which is no good for stopping water ingress. After cleaning up the aperture and re-finishing it, I'll use the correct flexible sealer and replace the missing locking / trim strip so that the car can have a chance to dry out inside. A drivers foot spa was never OE on a 220! I have a plan to slowly nurse the car back into a fine state of health and have found some front seats of the correct colour in my loft to replace the existing ones which are coming apart. Hoping to retain the LPG but ditch that awful tank in the load bay and mount a new one in the spare wheel well. Loving driving this old bus it is just superb! In the meantime if anyone has a pair of front door trim cards in tan / brown, I'd love to hear from them... Last edited by Gordon Hunter; Jan 31st, 2014 at 12:16. |

Oh nice! It's gone to a good home then! I emailed the previous owner back to tell him I had bought elsewhere and he told me that it had gone to a real enthusiast!

First job is to make the interior watertight.
Screen out and welded up ready to refit after a spot of 2K green. That's 'Rust Bullet' I'm using apparently they use it on oil rigs!.. 2014-02-04-12.23.23.jpg2014-02-04-12.23.31.jpg |
