1998 Volvo V70 R Engine wanted

Evening all

After a bit of head scratching I discovered that the big ends have gone in my V70 R. I have decided that instead of scraping the car I'm going to bring it back to life and fit a replacement engine.

Also is it possible to fit a standard turbo engine as direct swap or even the T5 engine?

Be easier to drop the sump and change the bearings, surely?

Hi I have a bottom end if that's of any help,there a good moter to work on / rebuild, I done a complete nut n bolt build on mine, best idea I've had in ages!

You need a T5 engine to keep the same spec. Just the turbo is different between the R and T5 on these models.

Matt I have a T5 engine in perfect nick, 110k miles full history, pulled like a train and smooth as a bays butt, I am breaking my T5 the engine is complete with head at the moment, it's still in the car but missing plugs, coils injectors as already sold!
It will need removing of course, also it will be very cheap as I would love for it to live on in another car as if truth be told the car was too nice to break anyway! My my number is 07708-361871 car will be scrapped in a week as TAX will run out friday!

T5 and T5R are same engine just different turbo!

yes you need any 850 or v70 t5 or r engine they are all the same
