Smile Anti-skid service required message on dash

Hi,

I have 2007 2.0D Volvo S40, Which has done 103K miles. When I was driving to work this morning all of a sudden "Anti-skid service required" message displayed on my dash, I continued to drive with the message (5mins) up to my office car park.

Once I parked the car, I switched off the engine and started the car again, now I can't see this message again. Is this normal?

I was reading about this "Anti-skid service required" and lots ppl are saying it will cost around £600-1200 to get it fixed. Is this correct?

Please advise, I had this car for just over 2 weeks now.

Get the codes read with a vida/dice unit. It can be many things that cause that light to come on some expensive others not so expensive. By getting the codes read you will save yourself more expense changing parts that aren't needed!
