Default "Pull for Child Lock"

Hi all

Just bought a 2002 C70 2.0 GT Convertible.

On the drivers door switch pack it says "Pull for Child Lock" and the light above it is on. Back windows operate from the drivers door but seem not to using the switches in the rear.

I am therefore assuming that this child lock is on but have no idea what I have to pull or push to deactivate so rear seat passengers can travel in comfort.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Mark.

Well...there are two arrows pointing to both switches so I would assume pulling up both switches at the same time activates/deactivates the child locks. Don't know for sure though.

Quick flick up on both switches together.
About 1/2 a second should do it.
Should knock the light off and release the lock.
Another undocumented feature.

It is documented in the handbook of our 2003 2.0t auto.
Page 22 of handbook 'You can block the rear side windows by pulling up both rear switches quickly and releasing them. The LED is lit when both rear side windows are blocked. To cancel the blocking: Pull up both switches again and release them.
Hope this helps

I can confirm that pulling both switches up will turn on and off the child locks on the rear windows. I accidently did this whilst cleaning and thought both my rear window motors had failed.

Hi all

Just to confirm that this works. A quick pull upwards of both switches cancels/ reactivates/ cancels the rear window lock.

Thanks to all who helped and I really hope that this helps others!

Now, just to sort the leak!
