Default Side Steps - Expert Help Please.

I have a 2009 (59) XC90 and I would like to add some side steps for styling.

I have seen some nice side steps on Ebay supplied from Poland.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLVO-XC90...item3f2204661c

I like these because they actually look more like running boards than simply tubular bars - plus they are a good price.

My question is: these steps are described as fitting 2002-2007 XC90 models.
Will they not fit on a 2009 model?

Although im no expert - I dont think the fixing points change on any year so should be the same. However maybe if you have the stainless look aluminium sill covers they might struggle ?

I looked at these, and am glad I didn't get them, I settled on a good condition used pair of Original Volvo ones from Gurj, a member on here, and although I am 100% happy with them, I am still acutely aware of how much extra I have to "stretch" my leg when getting out, to avoid the steps, I think, as these look a LOT wider, that you'd actually have to step onto the step to actually get out, if that makes sense...

Mike..

Aha! Didn't think of that. Thanks Mike (and other responders).
