Default top mount bearing

recently I had to change both top mount bearings, which I bought from my Volvo dealers in poole. after having them fitted by my mechanic it was noticed that the o/s bearing wasn't operating correctly. when turning the steering wheel left the bearing would turn so far then stop before I had reached full lock then when reaching full lock on the steering wheel the bearing would twang as it released into the full lock position. you can see the fault by looking under the wing with someone turning the steering wheel. my mechanic asked me to get in touch with Volvo to see if they could replace it which they did but I had to pay for it. they would only do it under warranty if I let them fit it for me and if they found the part to be faulty. why can't they look under the wing see what is happening and replace the part. the way they want to do it is going to cost me a fortune in labour cost.

Take heart beauville. I took mine into Volvo Poole last month and said listen to that exhaust I bought off you a few months ago. The baffles were loose.

The exhaust was installed by Wareham Tyre and Exhaust.

All was replaced free of charge, no parts, no labour costs.
