Default Intermittent alarm problems

I recently bought an 08 V70 and have had an intermittent problem with the alarm going off. It only seems to happen in the middle of the night and not during the day, which appears weird and probably annoying for the neighbours. Currently I am disabling the movement sensor and reducing the guard. I don't know when I will be able to verify if this is the cause/cure for a while as the problem only happens every 4 or 5 days.

Has anyone had a similar type problem and if so am I looking at the interior sensor or the alarm unit battery as mentioned in previous threads?
