Extra Gauges
How rare are the econo and outside temp gauges?
I've seen posts on V3M saying they're rare, but every single 360 I've seen in NZ has them as standard... |

Strange. I was only thinking yesterday how nice it would be to have and outside temp gauge. Anyone got a spare?

If you get stuck for a sensor Joe (it fits in the drivers side chassis rail (or maybe it's the bumper mount trumpet, been a while since I've done one) they are the same as fitted on any 400 with the trip computer.
On a 480, it's dead centre of the car in the grill, not easy to see but if you reach up from underneath you'll find it. Over here, they were fitted to a 1983 Special Edition, or a 1989 Blueline as standard. Otherwise they were an optional extra. They aren't the hardest things to find, but they aren't easy either especially since 300's don't appear in scrappys like they used to.

Sensor's are right hand side bumper trumpet. i have had 5 360's and number 5 is the only one without those gauges. Sadly i do not have spare's as back then i didn't know there was demand, so they went to scrapy's with rest of car. I have found the econo meter immensely helpful to the point where i looked at fitting one to my skyline (LOL).

The econo meter is great I look at it more than the speedo when in the 100k zone as in 5th I know I'm doing 100 when it is in a certain position, because my speedo is a bit slow to react to slight decreases in speed.

When i first saw this thread i thought it was about the tunnel console gauges. of which i do have but yea I'd never refered to the econo gauge as "extra"
