Default 760 Turbo intercooler ABS brakes binding

I am in the process of buying a 1988, 760 estate turbo intercooler 2.3. I have not yet seen the car but the price is good. I understand the brakes start to bind after a few minutes. It has had a new ABS pump and brake disks. The owner says it is a leaky survo. If you pull off the survo hoze it is OK. (apparently) I do all my own repairs but have no knowledge of ABS or air conditioning. I think the vacuum system is linked? Could anyone give me any idea as to the remedy of this fault. Also what fuel would the car use it is registered in 1988.
I am beginning to think I am buying a bad car!!! I already have a volvo 740 estate but it is getting a bit old.

Many thanks

Default RE: 760 Turbo intercooler ABS brakes binding

Hi there,
I have got a 2.3 740 turbo and although i cant help you with the air con etc, the fuel you want to use is Super Unleaded, try Shell Optimax it has an octane rating of 98* which is what your engine needs to run on to avoid pinking. DO NOT under any circumstances use LRP - it blew the turbo on mine (before i bought it off my uncle luckily for me!!)

Hope this helps
Cian
