Another excellent thread!
The state of that floor (pre-repair) makes me feel a lot more positive about my 740. The new jacking point is awesome: I take it you/your dad fabricated that up from scratch, Luke?

The N/S battery tray was beyond saving but luckily the diesel I recently broke had a pair of trays in amazing condition so the N/S one was utilised.

IMG-20211016-WA0015 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE IMG-20211016-WA0013 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE IMG-20211016-WA0014 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE The black outlined area is where the repair was done IMG-20211016-WA0016 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE The next repair panel that we are going to be making to sell is the area above the battery tray with the dip in it at the bottom of the wheel arch as these are usually rotten along with the trays. |

On my 1996 940 LPT, the battery tray has a slight hole into the NSF wheelarch, . On looking under the battery tray/ wheelarch join the metal is folded over under the tray and is rotting along it's length. Looks like water gets trapped/moisture.
Will need repairing in future. James |
