The car is now sold - £1,100 to a very pleasant young man called Jack via an ad on gumtree - thanks to the recommendation by Capt Jack.
I had several enquiries via Gumtree and only one via ebay.
Maybe more people look on gumtree for cheaper cars.

Good news about the S80!.

It was the dealer that supplied my "new" V70 that recommended Gumtree as the best option for older cars. I was warned not to bother with Ebay, and certainly my (admittedly one) experience of Gumtree is that it worked!
