I'd like a touch-up pen, please.
I'd like to dot in some of the stone chips and teeny scratches on my car.
I've had touch-up pens from Halfords before, they can make them up to order. I need my paint code, though...where can I find it? (2002 S40) Or am I better off getting one from a dealer? How much am I looking at, roughly? Cheers! |

If you are ever in Warrington, great car shop near the rugby ground, will check your paint code and make you one up, If memory serves me right it was only three pound, will get the details for you tomorrow on my way to work if you want?

If you go to a dealer, they'll search for your vehicle details from the reg number and will tell you the colour and then can order you a touch up set if they don't have one in. I'd imagine it would be £10 to £15 I got a can of spray paint for £12.
If you try Halfords, tell them your paint code and they will look it up on their computer and convert this into a "Halfords number" which will then correspond to a touch up set or they can - apparantly, as you say - make up a paint. So now all you need is to know your paint code! Well if you look at the attachment picture below of your VIN Identification plate it is the part pointed to by the number 12. Cheers, Pete |

Muchos gracias, chaps.
It just do happens that I work in Golborne, 10 minutes from Warrington, so I may just pay a visit to P&M Panels. |
