Default S80 P3 Timing belt

Hi all,
Just a note to say that I have just had my MY07 S80 timing belt done for a great price. Genuine Volvo timing belt kit for £95 (with a discount code) and Aux belt for £39.99 from tradeteam@rybrookvolvo.co.uk.
My local mobile car guru who is ex-Ford main stealer but does own 3 Volvos personally, changed them for the grand sum of £100!! He also changed the fuel filter for nothing but I insisted on giving him at least £20 for the trouble.
If anyone in the South West (West Somerset, Taunton etc) is in need, DM me and I'll pass on his details. He also did the timing belt on my Galaxy, clutch on my daughters Fiesta and brakes/service on my wifes B-Max so have used before. I do not get anything by recommending! Thanks

Its only about a 90 minute job, so £100 for Fred in (or in this case out) of a Shed labour alone isn't all that exciting.

Of course, the money saved is nice - but not all that great if you've paid £235 all in - but if the dealer fits them you get a 'lifetime' warranty on the parts. If they fail within the programmed replacement period then not only the part but the consequential damage is covered.

It only cost me a little over £300 at the dealer for my P3 V70 recently (and they fitted new seatbelts as part of a recall for free), so youve lost out on a lot of back up and reassurance for only 80 quid saved.

So make an informed choice and have it cheap, or have it iron-clad. Or the difference between good value and merely cheap, if you like.
