springs and brake lines
my T4 '98 had been stood in breakers yard and on my drive for a year.. on MOT and inspection I had advisorys on rusty brake lines and springs, all round...!
So rather than make car lower.. [i'm 6'4"] because i iz to big.. can I obtain stiffer new springs without lowering? does anyone have any? secondly the brake lines look a real bugger to replace. any advice/offers on this one? is the only optin the dealer? |

should imagine you can obtain stiffer springs without lowering, have not come across any yet!
as for the brakes, depends how compotent mechanic you are, changing the lines probably wont be too hard but refilling and bleeding the system is a dark art, might be best lettin a garage do it |

As for the springs, unless your wanting aftermarket lowering springs, you can get replacement springs all round for about £40 each. I've just replace both back springs on my S40 @ £40 each sourced by a local independant garage and after just shattering my front one thats being replaced for £38 so not dear at all.
