Default Anyone had the shims adjusted on V50 AC compressor clutch?

Quite a specific question, I know.
I've read about this fault - where the AC works for around 5-15mins, then stops working when the magnetic clutch gets hot. Shim adjustment can fix it.

What I need to know is - if you've had this issue, does turning the AC off then on again fix it for a few minutes? Then stops working again.

On mine, this is what happens. Would be really useful to know if it's the clutch as garage is having trouble tracking it down.

Thanks in advance.

I couldn't be bothered sussing out the ins and outs and just fixed it for free in 10 mins.

Thanks Cheshired 5.
Really useful.
I now know it isn't the clutch gap. I'll ask my next question in another post.
