Default 2005 S40 Air Con Radiator - unique to model?

Hi again folks - I'm still restoring the accident-damaged 2005 S40 Sport mentioned in previous queries and have arrived at the radiator / air con radiator assembly which to be honest is a bit ripply. I've managed to get a brand new radiator very cheaply and want to know if the air-con radiator assembly is unique to the S40, does any other Volvo - V40, V50 or whatever, or indeed any make or model of car - use the same one?
I'd rather do the job properly than a botch!
Getting to the finish slowly but surely....

Just found out that the fan assembly - BOSCH CF339 - is also marked Ford.... so I may be able to choose from similar cars if I can find the exact match.

Hi there Paudman,

Ford owns Volvo, so your biggest chance would be to search for parts from a Ford Focus II, Ford Focus C-MAX or 2.5T Mondeo.

Try specifying the engine of the Volvo S40 you're currently stiching up and i might be able to help you out, wether it's a 2.0D. 1.6D, D4, T5, 2.4?

A/C radiator?? do you mean intercooler?

Hi again Guru - yes it's the intercooler, the thin rad in front of the water radiator.
Part number appears to be AUJ7B... the Volvo model is a S40 1.8 Sport, petrol engined.
There are none currently on eBay for the Volvo but a cross reference to the correct Ford model may turn up something, if I can identify it.

I've been looking through a spare parts catalog on-line, the main water radiator of the Volvo is that of the Ford focus C-MAX 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 and MAZDA 3 with OEM part number 1305492, but nothing is mentioned about the intercooler, so i guess they don't have it.

Not too many 1.8 petrols around here i'm afraid.

I think Guru is looking for information on the A/C Condenser (looks like a thin water radiator) rather than any 'intercooler' as found on Turbo'd cars.

Yes this is confusing me too... as in my first post, it's the thin rad in front of and almost the same size as the water radiator. Sorry for the confusion, I find it called the air-con radiator, the condenser and the intercooler by any vendors on eBay.
I believe the Ford C-Max uses the same one but the pipe connections are in the wrong place, they are very very close but at a different angle than the Volvo ones.
Here's a link to one on eBay which will illustrate:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-FOCUS-2-C...3A1%7C294%3A50

sorry for the long link....
Anyway I don't know how much flex there is in the air-con pipes which would allow me to move them the inch or so this other fitment requires, so may be better waiting for a proper Volvo one to appear.
