Smile a question about buff you car

I got a cheap buffing machine from Argos

my idea is wash then wax, let it dry, then use buff machine to take down the dry wax. Is this correct?

or is it

wash it, then apply the wax on the buff machine and buff it, let it dry, use another buff head to clean the dry wax?

sorry i hope my question will not annoy anyone.
because it sounds very stupid hahah.

thx alot for any suggestions

hi, if you bought the 240volt machine it does come with applicator pads as well as buffing pads, the applicator obviously for applying the wax/polish then the fleece buffer for removing and buffing up the bodywork, take a tip from me, buy some extra pads as they soon clog and you might need three or four for doing the entire car.
