Which battery for key fob? (keyless entry)
I have a 2018 V60 with keyless entry but I imagine this would apply equally to any car with keyless entry.
A few months ago I found that the keyless feature was regularly not working unless I had the key pretty much next to the handle. I ordered a stack of CR2032s off ebay and replacing the battery in the key fob did the trick but within a month the performance of the keyless entry was deteriorating again. Lesson learned - don't buy the cheapest batteries listed on ebay but the question is, which batteries to buy? My "go to" would be Duracell but are there other options with a higher capacity that are specifically designed for car keys? Also where to buy from given the high proliferation of fake stuff on ebay and amazon marketplace?
