  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default 850 RADIO MODILE SC-805

MY T5 CAME WITH THE STANDARD SC802 SINGLE DIN RADIO CASSETTE.AFTER LOOKING AT MOST MODILES WITH THE SC-805 DOUBLE DIN UNIT AND LIKING THE LOOK I HAD TO SEARCH AND FIND ONE.I FOUND ONE ON EBAY AND BID £62 WHICH FINNALY WAS THE WINNING BID,I WAS A HAPPY MAN.THE SC-805 ARRIVED AND WAS LIKE BRAND NEW AND CAME BOXED UP WITH CODE.NEXT DAY RUSHED OUT AND FITTED IT A 5 MINUTE JOB,THE PROBLEM IS AT NIGHT THE NUMBER 2+3 BUTTON DONOT LIGHT UP.CAN ANY BODY TELL ME IF THE BULBS CAN BE REPLACED OR IS THIS SOMETHING I HAVE TO LIVE WITH?

Do a search, in this forum, I'm sure I read a message by somebody (I think) with the handle of Networkguy, who'd done this (replaced some backlight bulbs in the stereo fascia).

No it wasn't me (although I do remember this thread).

If I remember right, you can take the unit apart and then you can change the LEDs without too much bother.

I am still waiting to get round to sorting mine out but I must do it soon as I now have 2 bulbs out :(

They won't be leds otherwise they would last for the life of the unit. I think I've got an sc-805 somewhere, I'm away from tomorrow for a week but will find it and strip it when I get back, if you can wait I'll tell you how to do it then.
