  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

hi all,looking at buying a 2001 v70.all sounds good and bloke seems genuine but he doesnt seem to know if the car is turbo or non turbo.its a 2.4 and he is sending some pics later.how will i tell if its turbo or none turbo? if i get a pic of the engine will there be a visable difference? many thanks

This is what a non Turbo should look like:



- Nore the air inlet pipe goes straight from the air filter box to the inlet manifold (Large rubber hose on the far right of the picture), on a turbo you will see lots more pipework - Mike

How is it possible to own a car and not know if its turbo or non turbo?..hope he genuine for your-sake, but I would pass as soon as he said that.

i have known the car for the last 6years as the seller lives next to a relative but he is 86 so his son is selling it and dont think he has ever driven so i think he just doesnt know anything about cars.would it say turbo on the v5? thanks

You could try putting the reg into one of the various websites that recognise your car make model etc from the reg. Off the top of my head car parts shops or insurers, but there must be better sites so can someone suggest one?
