Anything can break at any time but free tax and start stop along with 50 plus MPG should keep me happy. And it's a Volvo I swear this has to be the last one!!! I have been accepted for the finance so I am considering the deal so I am better protected tbh, take out a 60 month plan and pay the majority off so the car is still the finance companies problem if anything goes wrong. Then whenever I want to sell just pay the finance off and advertise it

My experience with 2.0D has been great - have had some work done to it but that is what you get when buying used car at semi-high mileage.
That's what I said, the later 1.6D's are much better because you don't have to replace the DPF at 75,000 miles, which I believe is the 16V unless I'm wrong.

Late one is 8V with dry DPF.

Going well so far thanks Approaching 109k already and much nicer than the Audi. Haven't cleaned it yet though!! Going for a service in a few weeks and I found the missing remote for the sat nav hidden in the glovebox! Love it

Still pulling over 50 MPG and the performance is strong for a 1.6, stop start is becoming more normal to use now I've gotten used to it and the USB input is working more reliably now. Hopefully fingers crossed it'll be a keeper this one

Excellent news Sash, we've just done a 1200 mile tour of Ireland in our 50, I need to sort out a bent rim but apart from that it didn't miss a beat. I've just valeted the motor out, it was a bit grubby in there. Ready for the next trip to the New forest in two weeks
